Lister Waterway | Buena Vista Area Waterway | Port Charlotte Florida

In this video, we take you on a short tour showcasing Lister Waterway in Port Charlotte FL. Lister Waterway is part of the Buena Vista waterway system and is in what some refer to as the “old sailboat section” of Port Charlotte. It is located just north of the Peace River, and directly across from Fisherman’s Village in Punta Gorda. We include canal depths and other general waterway information reverential to boaters and those interested in waterfront living.

Let's start on the right paw, My name is Chris, and I'm not here to spam you with listings! I'm here to assist you in your search for the perfect home after you've already decided that this is a fantastic place to live. Our adventure in waterfront real estate started in 2010 when we lived in Tokyo and bought a waterfront sailboat lot in South Gulf Cove, but it ramped up after my husband and I retired from the military. We had unproductive experiences with realtors giving lousy advice and misleading information when we were looking for over a year to find a new home for us and our sailboat. I suppose I should tell you a little about myself. I retired from the United States Air Force after 24 years of service and just wanted to live on the water. A place where I could finally have a pool and my boat in my backyard. After traveling to more than 40 countries for work and leisure, my husband and I fell in love with the Port Charlotte area and purchased a home here in 2017. Initially, we were weekenders from Tampa, but It didn't take long for us to decide to make it full-time. Whether it is sailing Charlotte Harbor, kayaking on the Peace River, hiking trails in Arcadia, golfing, a fabulous dinner in Punta Gorda, or exploring the nearby barrier islands via powerboat, we feel we have discovered one of the best-kept secrets in Florida. As a boater, I understand the importance of finding the perfect waterfront home- especially with depths and verifying there are no limiting factors for sailboats.
